Peaceful, beautiful, remote bush camp site, located about 160km east of Marble Bar.
Popular with locals and travelers as a spot to spend some time fishing, swimming or just relaxing. Abundant bird life.
- Sheer limestone cliff is an impressive site as it plunges into the permanent body of water
- Sunrise is the perfect time to catch the changing hues of the shear wall.
- Just near Carawine Gorge is evidence of how the surrounding landscape was formed. Glacier Rock is a site that exhibits glacial polishing – that is where a glacier, carrying rocks, pebbles and sand, has moved over bedrock or other hard, igneous or metamorphic rock.
- Resulting in the rock being polished to a high sheen. This is normally lost following subsequent weathering.
